Hello from Cookeville.
For those in the Cookeville, Crossville area and nearby, I will be at the Shell Gas Station, on Hwy 111 next door to WalMart, KSU at 8am central time Saturday the 12th heading to Madison, AL for lunch @ 11:30. 149 miles, all good backroads. We will stop once, 15 minutes, to top off fuel and a potty break. See you then. Ray, Shoes … 931-267-0006
We had a great time in Madison, AL this past Saturday, a chilly beginning to the day, a quite nice afternoon on the way home.
Lunch was fantastic, the Greenbriar had fix 'ins for every taste. A 320-mile round trip for me, several others had closer to 350 miles as their rounder.
We are about 1 month out from KSU, see y’all on Midway.
You do not want to miss the Midway route this year, lots happening in Cookeville this year.
I believe the route indicates we will be at the Leslie Center as years past, this year, yes, we will do the parade through Cookeville however the events will take place at the brand-new Expo Center. I haven’t even seen it yet and I live in Cookeville. Cookeville/Putnam County doesn’t do things halfway … This is part of the new fairgrounds west of town. For those of you that have ridden Midway before, the Fairgrounds were in town, they were built many years ago, the city has grown up around them. Time to have the fairgrounds replaced.
Thanks, Stitch and others for putting the April ride together.

I know we are only a short couple of weeks before KSU, and this wouldn’t be a roundup meetup, but starting this Friday and running through Sunday May 2 - 4 there will be a hot air balloon festival in southern Alabama in Foley. I will be there flying our balloon if anyone would like to come down and help or just watch, it’s a hell of a show.
We will be flying in the early mornings and static glows in the evenings, both at OWA in Foley.
If anyone would like to come down, lend a hand or just come and enjoy the experience, let me know.
