Bonehead
My name is Mike “Bonehead” Kyzer and I have been a Run For The Wall family member since my FNG year of 2015. I have ridden all 4 routes, All The Way.
I have volunteered in leadership on the Southern Route as a Staging Crew member in 2017 and 2018, was the Financial Lead in 2019 and 2022, and most recently as the Administrative Assistant to the Route Coordinator and the Service Platoon Assistant Platoon Leader in 2024. In 2025 I will serve as an Ambassador, spreading the RFTW mission story and thanking those who support us all across the nation.
In 2023 I volunteered as the Adminstrative Assistant to the Midway Route Route Coordinator and performed tailgunner duties on 1st Platoon.
On SandBox Route I served as the Administrative Assistant for the inaugural run in 2022, working diligently for the 3 years prior to get thru the challenges that accompanied the pandemic with the Route Coordinator and his teams. I continued that responsibility thru 2024. I have also volunteered as a member of the Outreach Team in 2023 and in 2024 was the Service Platoon Platoon Leader.
I also share the responsibilities of the Head Road Guard and Safety Officer for the Arizona crew of Nation Of Patriots, an organization dedicated to helping those disabled vets with dependants from all eras who find themselves on the financial edge and believe they have no where to reach out to for help.
I also participate in the Arizona Patriot Guard, and the Arizona Honor Flight program when time permits, having escorted a wheelchair bound WWII and Korean Veteran to his memorials in Washington DC in 2018, and attended many homecomings for veterans who have made the life changing trip.
I am a dedicated patriotic American on a mission to spread awareness and provide support for Blue and Gold Star Families, working towards stopping the 22+ Military and Veterans a day who take their own lives, the victims of Military Sexual Trauma and Military Medical Mistakes, helping the WIA, and keeping the memory alive of the KIA and MIA.
My service is dedicated to Veterans and children. My wife and I are founding members and were executive Board of Director members of an Arizona non-profit 501c called Friends Of The Kids. Providing food and housing needs for Native American children in low and no resource areas for 17 years.
For fun I ride my Harley-Davidson Bagger. I am a retired Principal Network Analyst for a major electric utility in Arizona, having built computer networks and control systems that “keep the lights on” in the Southwest United States. Occasionally I am a consultant with the Generation team at my old company to assist with projects they undertake to maintain the power plants they run.
