CO passenger looking to do RFTW 2025

Howdy! I’m new to your group and starting off with a request. I’m Karin, the daughter of USAF Captain James E Steadman, Night Owl F-4, Owl 08. MIA 11/26/1971 over Laos, flying out of Ubon, Thailand. He was on his second tour at Ubon, 311th mission.

My dad loved his motorcycle and driving cross country on his breaks from the Air Force Academy. He also enjoyed rides to Cripple Creek from the Academy, back when the roads didn’t look or feel like they do now, over these past 30 years

I’m very interested in participating in 2025’s Run for the Wall. I do not own a motorcycle but I have experience as a passenger. My longest rides have been 4-5 hours. In my younger days, I’ve ridden in a snowstorm from Keystone to Manitou Springs. I’ve ridden in fair weather but not really rain yet. CO, NM, and CA are states I’ve been the passenger.

I recently added a helmet and boots, to my collection of gear that I’ve been acquiring for such an opportunity. I realize it’s a big ask, but wondered if there is anyone who’d consider taking on a passenger? I’m flexible about starting in Ontario, CA or picking up the group in NM or CO. Thanks for your consideration! PS I’m a very low maintenance human who can travel light and efficiently.

FNG Hopeful for the Central Route.

Hey There Karin,

I am ok to pick up a passenger along the way. I am in Central staging so that means early morning starts and missing most of the day time events as well head to the next staging stop during each day. If you are FNG, I would recommend catching a ride with someone in the pack.

Best regards, Rob

Hi Rob! Thank you for the message and offer. Much appreciated. I’m in touch with a Wall sister Anastasia, who’s reached out to a man who’s in charge of the missing man formation. She said he may know of two possibilities for riders. I’m waiting to hear back from Tom aka Bones, about this. Hopefully things will pull together but I’ll let you know!
