Connect BTECH GMRS Pro to Harley BOOM audio

We are trying to connect the GMRS Pro to the Harley Davidson BOOM audio system. The radio doesnt seem to pair with the bike’s audio. We have the PTT button and recommended hardware from another thread on this forum.
Our current thought is to pair the radio to an Android phone, and use the phone as a ‘pass-through’ between the bike and the radio.
Has anyone had success connecting the radio to the BOOM audio system?

The BTECH GMRS-PRO will not pair directly with the Harley-Davidson Boom Audio system. You must pair the GMRS-PRO with a smart phone (I use an iPhone 11) through the BTECH GMRS App and then pair the phone to the Boom Audio system.

I use the Harley WHIM to pair the Boom Audio to my Sena 50S.

This set up works flawlessly.

Also note that when you are using the BTECH-PRO GMRS you cannot use the other Boom Audio functions (ie: Car Play, music, CB, etc.) simultaneously.

I paired my GMRS radio directly to the Harley branded Sena 30k, left the phone paired to the Harley infotainment system. I can still hear the cb, music, etc when the GMRS radio is not in use. Riding a 2020 CVO Limited.

This is why you pair the RADIO directly to the headset, as Phone 2, and not the bike.

Kirk,
I just want to ensure I understand what I’ve been reading in the forums. I have a 2018 HD Ultra Limited, and I use a hard-wired setup to connect to my intercom, CB, and cell phone.

To use the BETECH GMRS radio, I would need to get a Sena Bluetooth or similar type of system and pair the GMRS radio with it, and that would be it, correct?

I would be going directly from the GMRS to the Sena system and would not need the WHIM system installed on my bike unless I wanted to connect to the Boom Audio.

The Sena would also pair to my iPhone as well.

If I have this right, I plan to purchase a Sena 60S.

Hi Boots,
I also have the HD WHIM system on my HD. Based upon the video, I have paired the GMRS-PRO directly to my HD Sena 50S. I have just read your post. If I understand correctly, you have paired the GMRS-PRO to your I-phone through the BTECH app, which in turn pairs to the HD WHIM? It sequence do you prioritize the GMRS over the "Boom Box Whim " functions. Have a Happy New Year

Hi Jerry,
What I described above was the way I had it configured last year. I have since learned that the better way to connect the GMRS-PRO is exactly the way you described: that is, pair the GMRS-PRO directly to your Sena 50s. Call me if you have questions.

I run a 2015 HD and Bluetooth the GMRS PRO to my phone and then choose the phone from my media selection to hear on the bike radio. I am hard wired withe the HD cable to the bike. I then can use WAZE and Spotify on my phone, along with the GMRS radio. I use the B-22 BTECH Bluetooth mic/speaker. It works just fine.

I don’t know this person but it looks like a heck of a deal.

Harley Sena 30 k for $150. Looks like for two of them.
