September 7th is the first Saturday in September. Rather than go to a restaurant, I propose that we have lunch at an event that Willing Warriors puts on every year that wraps up with catered Mission BBQ at the Farm Brewery at Broad Run (thefarmbreweryatbroadrun.com) in Haymarket, VA (16015 John Marshall Hwy, Broad Run, VA). The event is the Warrior Bike Ride. The ride is a bicycle ride, but the end of the ride is a catered BBQ lunch where non-riders like ourselves can join in. That’s where we will gather. (As a side note, I jump on my adventure MC for the morning and run the sweep on the Gravel Route – any other ADV riders on this email want to join – let me know – its kinda fun). There are a couple of options for you if you want to join us; you can just come to the Farm Brewery around 11:30 - noon and use the regular food trucks/food options at the brewery, or you can support the Willing Warrior event by signing up as a NON-Rider for Lunch & Beverage (This is the catered Mission BBQ – its $17.00) by going to this web site (2024 Warrior Ride Online Registration ) and scrolling to the bottom of the page where you can purchase the ticket. We’ll gather perhaps a little before Noon for the festivities.
