Howdy Midway Route Family and Folks!
The Midway Route is looking for both a SITREP Author and a Photographer for the 2025 Mission. I have offered to help find people to fill these two roles.
If ANYONE is interested in either role, please let me know. (Hoofer@rftw.us) I will help you all that I can. In fact, I will be with you for the first three days, from Ontario to Amarillo!
For the SITREPs, you will need a laptop computer. Your “task” is to listen, tell the folks back home where we went, what we experienced, and then tell some of the stories that you have heard that day. It is not only easy to do, but it is a lot of fun. It is also the direct link to the Run for those that can’t be there in person.
For the PHOTOGRAPHER position, all you need is a camera. ANY camera! It does NOT have to be a big “professional” system. Your task is to “see” a moment, and then capture it without interrupting it. You don’t have to post pictures everyday, but I always tried to put a few out each day anyway. I WOULD recommended putting some bright flashing lights on your bike, so that you can be seen better when pulled over on the side of the road.
I truly hope that someone will step forward and fill these positions. They are two of the most rewarding roles that you will ever have during your tenure with RFTW. I have never felt so honored and humbled than when I was entrusted to represent you. YOU will have those same rewards!
