Washington DC Arrivals and Information

As we edge closer to May, I will be posting a few updates about our plans for the end of the C2C Routes in Springfield VA. Hopefully, you have had a chance to take a look at the RFTW Podcast with Boots and Hitch where I walk through some of the details about Springfield.

I mentioned in the Podcast that I made a couple of videos to orient riders with the arrival into Springfield on the Coast-to-Coast routes. Riders on Midway will be escorted up the Fairfax county Parkway to Backlick Rd into American Legion Post 176. It’s a very short ride – 10 minutes give or take.

The Southern and Central Routes will be taking I-66 and I-495 Express lanes to the exits for Springfield. The escorted packs will be taken across I-495 (Beltway) from the Express Lanes. Non-escorted riders should stay in the left lanes of the beltway and take the exit for I-95 South Express, into Springfield.

The Video for Non-Escorted riders into Springfield is up on youtube at https://youtu.be/A1Cpv0IXLz8

Why are we calling it C2C now…

What happened to ATW?

Asking for a friend

By guess would be because he is explaining the routes… Themselves… They are Coast to Coast routes… ATW is the duration you are on a Coast 2 Coast route… If you join halfway through you are no longer ATW… but you are on a Coast 2 Coast route… IDK… just a guess…

Solid episode! It was nice to see my hotel in the layout . I was wondering where I was staying vs the location of the host hotel, and great info o the W2W rollout.

I have book marked both videos to watch with my platoon at the conclusion of day 9 on SR……that way should have a great idea of expectations. Great info! Thanks for sharing!

The C2C comes from distinguishing between Coast to Coast (LA to DC) and Wall to Wall (DC to Marseilles). One can go ATW, or participate, on either.
