Well, here we are in the great southwest, enjoying all the benefits of being able to ride 365 days a year. Thought I would get this message out early so you can mark your calendars appropriately. You should have received an RFTW email or saw on the recent RFTW podcast that the Hotel List for 2025 will be a little delayed this year. They are shooting for a January 10th release date, so please stand by. Hopefully it will be out by the time we meet on the 11th. The podcast also has some great preparation and riding tips to get you tuned up for May. And the guest this month is Southern Route’s own Billy “Bugs” Dunlap, and he tells us all how he got his road name
. Past episodes of the podcast include interviews with AZ RFTW rider and 2025 Southern Route RC Big Red, Lurch, and a whole cast of “shady” characters

If you are looking for a roommate for the run, you can search and post in the roommates section of the RFTW Forum. Someone else may be looking for a roommate too, and you could make going on the run just a little bit more budget friendly. Other sections of the forum include information on the new GMRS Radio setup, and a host of other subjects.
Finally,
The Arizona RFTW family lost a brother recently, and the final services for Tony “Apeman” Testa have been announced. He was an AZ Asst. State Coordinator from 2014 until present. Those Services will be at the Arizona National Memorial Cemetery at 2929 E Pinnacle Rd on January 24th at 11AM. RIP Apeman. We’ve got the watch.
